The Measurement and Verification (M&V) provides a systematic procedure for determining the functional performance and building energy consumption. Collecting and analyzing energy data is fundamental to any task of determining energy performance. The energy savings is demonstrated and validated through standard measurement and verification (M&V) protocols.
We assist clients with:
Zodiac measurement and verification follow the following the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP), the FEMP Measurement and Verification Guidelines for Federal Energy Projects and the ASHRAE Guideline 14 on Measurement of Energy and Demand Savings.
M&V is analogous to building commissioning and is intended to help preserve energy efficiency and water usage gains over the long term. The M&V period shall cover a period of no less than one year of post-construction occupancy.
Zodiac’s Measurement and Verification services comply with those required by the Energy and Atmosphere section credit points for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. Zodiac is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
