Position: Commissioning Engineer
LEED/Commissioning/HVAC DDC

Description: Zodiac is searching for a Commissioning Agent in the St. Louis area. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Provide full LEED commissioning services on energy efficient and sustainable buildings
Prepare commissioning documentation, review building designs for energy efficiency and LEED requirements, and implement plans
Develop measurement and verification (M&V) plans, perform M&V activities, and interpret data to determine savings
Interface and work closely with customer, design and construction engineers to ensure that the project needs and objectives are maintained and satisfied
Perform site inspections, functional testing, and trend data analysis
Ensure installed equipment meets the design intent, installation is maintainable, and client needs are met
Documentation of work will be in both the office and field testing
Perform site visits as needed

Requirements - Experience/Skills:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems Sciences, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years experience in commissioning / retrocommissioning, mechanical design / field review for buildings , operating and/or HVAC systems
Experience in Direct Digital Controls (DDC) Systems
Knowledge of building and energy codes as well as energy and commissioning standards
Experience managing and performing energy audits for existing buildings
An extensive background in commercial buildings, M&E, DDC controls, and HVAC for energy efficiency and operational efficacy needed
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
P.E. Professional Engineer registration preferred
U.S. Citizenship required
